Poulton Gala 2018

Poulton Gala 2018

It’s held on the first weekend of June each year, and is a years old tradition continued for the modern day. It’s time for Poulton Gala 2018!

Poulton Gala – Saturday 2 June 2018

Poulton Gala, Saturday 2 June 2018

The whole event focuses on the town centre, with the historic landmark St. Chad’s parish church as an impressive backdrop.

The theme for Poulton Gala 2018 is ‘Magic’!

The parade will be the pinnacle of a day packed with family entertainment, kicking off at 10am and running through to 5pm in Market Place.

The parade will set-up and leave from the town’s Civic Centre car park and follow a newly-extended figure-of-eight route. It takes in all of the main shopping streets before finishing in Market Place. There, the new Gala Queen will be crowned by the retiring Gala Queen.

Music, dance displays and stalls in Market Place will feature, with some additional surprises in store for people who attend.

A bit of rain doesn’t stop the Poulton Gala Parade from taking place. Please make sure that you’re prepared with waterproofs and umbrellas just in case!  If it is raining, the crowning of the Gala Queen Elect will take place inside St Chads church at approx 1pm.
